Feeling Alone and Standing Alone

Many days I have been asked to stay late at office
And on weekends too to work for unfeasible deadlines
I felt being screwed up.

Because of boss’s false commitment,
The blame(s) will fall on my head,
I felt being besieged

There were days pouring with
lots of appreciation for my work,
But not on my appraisal
I felt being fooled and cheated

With the name of recession, firing season starts,
Once appreciated as a good performer,
now the reason in pink slip says
“On performance basis”,
No clue, whatsoever,
now I am in the road side,
Now I’m not only feeling alone but also
Standing alone...
