Ex-skippers all set to play their second Innings in political Field

As BJP already tasted the success of former "King of Cricket" Navjot Singh Sindhu’s Political charisma, Now Karnataka BJP is all set to rope in former Test Skipper, Spin Wizard, “Jumbo” Anil Kumble for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, whether he can prove his mantle in political field is something that should be wait and watch.

When just retried people can get into politics then why not our old horses, a player and a captain who is well known for his wristy style batting and cool composure captaincy, our infamous Md.Azharuddin has showed interest to contest in his home land Hyderabad from a congress seat. These ex-captains can come into fray then why not the former captain and former selector Vengsarkar. Vengsarkar has met Shiv Sena leader Uday Thackeray to discuss about his plans on politics esp. on the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

“It is just a tip of Iceberg, more to follow”, general grapevine from political parties.

Will negative voting be allowed in Electronic Polling Machine

The parliamentary elections are round the corner, however a question that is being asked is whether voters can exercise negative voting?

The Supreme Court will soon decide on the matter on Thursday. Earlier, the apex court had reserved orders on this issue.

So far:

Petitioner: Allow negative voting button on voting machines

Poll panel: Sent proposal four years ago

Centre: Tough to educate voters

Voters can currently choose not to vote by signing form

The court is hearing a petition by the PUCL which has asked for an additional button in electronic voting machines so that voters can have the option of not choosing any of the candidates in the fray.

The election commission said it supports negative voting and had written to the government four years ago.

But arguing against it, the Centre said the constitution review committee had rejected the proposal as it is tough to educate voters.

The law already provides for an option in which the voter can sign a form to register a non-vote but in India it has no real impact.

What is Negative or Neutral Voting

What is negative voting? , Negative or neutral voting is nothing but expressing our willingness of not to opt for any of the contestants. What are can be reasons for negative/neutral vote and why the hue and cry is more now?
The need for negative voting raise when we either not impressed or against the contesting candidates. Earlier in India we were using paper ballot, though not many people know about 49-O but they registered their unwillingness by making their vote (candidature option) illegible thus restricted any one from increasing their count. However in Electronic Polling machine, one is forced to opt for someone or the other even if he doesn’t like to do. Thus for example if 10 people are contesting in a constituency and there are one or many criminal cases registered against them, then if you want to go for negative voting in electronic polling machine then one may opt for a candidate with low profile criminal case against him i.e. we will opt for a candidate with Theft case against him than with murder charges.

How to Add Site Meter to My Blog?

When you start your new blog, a site meter is one of the first things you should plan to add. If you start from the begining you'll know its an accurate number instead of starting your site meter later on.

You'll notice that a lot of bloggers have site meters that track how many visitors they've had. There are lots of free services that you can use but you'll find that most bloggers choose Site Meter . Site Meter is a free service that you can sign up for and choose any number of their badges and they will give you exact instructions on how to post the meter of your choosing on your specific blog.

Having a meter is a fun and easy way to see how many visitors you've had, along with where they are coming from in the world. I've had visitors from all over the world! Site Meter will also send you a weekly e-mail with an update on your stats.

A lot of bloggers will use their visitor numbers as milestones and have contests for hiting a certain milestone in visitors. You can use this as a great technique to generate more loyal readers or just reward the loyal readers you have.

You can even choose to send out reward packages to their milestone visitors. This is always a fun exercise for all involved! You get to pick out cool toys/treats and then you get to see your friends enjoying them on their blogs! I myself had a contest for my 4,000th visitor and I sent out a beautiful bed to one of my very loyal readers. I was thrilled to be able to reward my blogging friend with something that I really enjoy myself.

Thought : Through The Window...!

A young couple moved into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap"

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this."

The husband said, "I got up this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
