Purpose of Reading Any Holy Book
(Depending on your preferences, you can think of The Gita or the Bible or the Koran or a Richard Bach or Ayn Rand or Robert Pirsig book when reading this.)
An old farmer lived on a farm in the mountains with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading the. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked, "Grandpa, I try to read just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading do?"
The grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water." The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house.
The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.
At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.
Out of breath, he said, "See Grandpa, it's useless!"
"So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket."
The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.
"Son, that's what happens when you read. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out."

Who Created Evil?
The year was 1902 when the Professor questioned his student whether it was God who created everything that exists in the universe?
Student replied: "Yes."
Professor questioned again: "What about evil? Has God created evil also?"
Student was silent.
Then student requested whether he may ask a question?
Professor allowed him to do so.
Student asked: "Does cold exists?"
Professor replied: "Yes; don’t you feel the cold, dear?"
Student said: "You are wrong, Sir; cold is the complete absence of heat."
Student asked again: "Does darkness exists?"
Professor answered" "Yes."
Student replied: "You are again wrong; there is no such thing like darkness; its actually the absence of light. We can study light and heat but not darkness and cold. Similarly, the evil does not exist. Actually, it is the absence of love, faith and true belief in God."
The student was Albert Einstein.
Student replied: "Yes."

What if Our Computer Talks
Hi,
I am with you all day long, whenever you look at me, I give u a bright and chirpy, radiating smile. I don't mind your company for hours. Though I don't understand why you stare at me continuously, still I expect you to be back and stare at me after your tea breaks, lunch or dinner. But sometimes, you leave for the day and I end up waiting for you to be back for a very long time, even for two or more days. My vision and brain gets tired and weary. Please switch me off when you leave for the day so that I will be able to get up cheerfully to welcome you when you wake me up the next morning.

Self Appraisal, A Prime Example
A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits. The store owner listened to the following conversation.
The boy said, "Lady, I want to cut your lawn".
The woman replied, "I already have someone to cut my lawn".
"Lady I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now."
The woman responded that she was very satisfied with the person who was presently cutting her lawn. The little boy found more perseverance and offered,
"Lady, I'll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn in all of North Palm Beach,Florida."
Again the woman answered in the negative.
With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The druggist walked over to the boy and said,
"Son I like your attitude, I like that positive spirit. Son, I would like to offer you a job. "
The little boy replied, "No thanks, I was just checking on the job I already have."
What are you waiting for? lift that phone and ring up your manager...

Perfection, Be a Judge for Yourself
A British man once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage." The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked. "There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work. "Where are you going to install the idol?"
The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked. The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."

NEED IT ! A Success Mantra
If you need something badly enough,
that you go and fight for it,
you work day and night for it,
you give up your time, your peace,
and your sleep for it,
All that you dream and scheme is about it and
life seems useless and worthless without it.
if you would be glad to sweat for it, fret for it, and plan for it,
and loose all your terror of opposition for it.
If you go after the thing that you want with
all your faith, hope, confidence, strength, sagacity,
And strong pertinacity, and if neither cold,
poverty, famine, Gaul, pain
and sickness of body can keep you away from the thing that you want.
If dogged and grimed you besiege and beset it and finally with the help of god you will achieve the thing that you desire.

World With 100 People
If we could shrink the earth's population to village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratio remaining the same, it would look something like the following:
There would be:
* 57 Asians
* 21 Europeans
* 14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south
* 8 Africans
* 52 would be female
* 48 would be male
* 70 would be non-white
* 30 would be white
* 70 would be non-Christian
* 30 would be Christian
* 89 would be heterosexual
* 11 would be homosexual
* 6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all 6 would be from the United States.
* 80 would live in substandard housing
* 70 would be unable to read
* 50 would suffer from malnutrition
* 1 would be near death
* 1 would be near birth
* 1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education
* 1 would own a computer
When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent.
The following is also something to ponder...
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than many others. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
Someone once said: What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

We ALL need someone who understands!
A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read "Puppies For Sale." Signs like that have a way of attracting small children, and sure enough, a little boy appeared under the store owner's sign. "How much are you going to sell the puppies for?" he asked.
The store owner replied, "Anywhere from $30 to $50."
The little boy reached in his pocket and pulled out some change. "I have $2.37," he said. "Can I please look at them?"
The store owner smiled and whistled and out of the kennel came Lady, who ran down the aisle of his store followed by five teeny, tiny balls of fur.
One puppy was lagging considerably behind. Immediately the little boy singled out the lagging, limping puppy and said, "What's wrong with that little dog?"
The store owner explained that the veterinarian had examined the little puppy and had discovered it didn't have a hip socket. It would always limp. It would always be lame.
The little boy became excited. "That is the puppy that I want to buy."
The store owner said, "No, you don't want to buy that little dog. If you really want him, I'll just give him to you."
The little boy got quite upset. He looked straight into the store owner's eyes, pointing his finger, and said, "I don't want you to give him to me. That little dog is worth every bit as much as all the other dogs and I'll pay full price. In fact, I'll give you $2.37 now, and 50 cents a month until I have him paid for."
The store owner countered, "You really don't want to buy this little dog. He is never going to be able to run and jump and play with you like the other puppies."
To his surprise, the little boy reached down and rolled up his pant leg to reveal a badly twisted, crippled left leg supported by a big metal brace. He looked up at the store owner and softly replied, "Well, I don't run so well myself, and the little puppy will need someone who understands!"

Life = Money + Bribe
The journey starts with a token payment in Labor room,
Officer issuing birth certificate starts the count with his part of share,
To let us know about numbers and subsequent mathematics techniques
We need to win the number (Money) game at the education center’s entrance.
Before I start to fill my wallet with my own money,
I should fill somebody else’s with borrowed money to get a job.
“Survival of the Fittest”, the saying may be true
Either one has to feed people who depend on him for survival or
He has to feed the fittest for his survival.
The journey moves with all sorts of maintenance expenditure
The death god won’t allow you to skip the law of life without his share,
Yes, pay the exit toll with a Rs 1 coin in your fore head.

Blind Boy : A sign Board can change life..
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were u the one who changed my sign this morning? What did u write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what u said but in a different way."
What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day & I cannot see it."
Do you think the first sign & the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Sitting in Office @ Night
Here I am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life
How it changed from a maverick collage life to strict professional life…...
How tiny pocket money changed to huge monthly paychecks
but then why it gives less happiness….
How a few local denim jeans changed to new branded wardrobe
but then why there are less people to use them
How a single plate of samosa changed to a full Pizza or burger
But then why there is less hunger…..
Here I am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life
How it changed…..
How a bike always in reserve changed to bike always on
but then why there are less places to go on……
How a small coffee shop changed to cafe coffee day
but then why its feels like shop is far away…..
How a limited prepaid card changed to postpaid package
but then why there are less calls & more messages……
Here I am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life
How it changed…..
How a general class journey changed to Flight journey
But then why there are less vacations for enjoyment….
How a old assembled desktop changed to new branded laptop
but then why there is less time to put it on……….
How a small bunch of friends changed to office mate
But then why we always feel lonely n miss those college frnz.….

Thought : Through The Window...!
A young couple moved into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
"That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap"
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this."
The husband said, "I got up this morning and cleaned our windows."
And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
